How To Size Your Cornice
Under each profile we show height (how far the cornice extends down the wall from the ceiling) and projection (how far it extends across the ceiling).
An average sized cornice would range from about 7cm x 7cm to 12cm x 12cm, although these products are manufactured to industry standard sizes. If you are unsure, ask us for a sample.

Paper coated coving to replicate traditional gyproc, but in an easy fit lightweight material.
127mm Coving – The Standard 5 Inch Size – Plus 100mm & 135mm
The standard, cheapest coving that has been used around the industry for many years is the 127mm coving. In old money it was called a 5 inch coving.
Traditionally this was (and often still is) made from a very cheap and powdery plaster material. Gyproc. It is paper coated, but heavy and brittle and quite difficult to install.
Our 5 inch coving has the same paper coating, and so once installed and painted, looks the same. However, it uses a light weight modern polymer material, and so is much more easy to install.
A standard scoop 100mm coving (or 4 inch), is also available, as is a 135mm option featuring a slightly more decorative profile shape.
Corners are available for both standard scoop options.
Matching Other Options
Unfortunately we have found that scoop shapes and other differences in size etc means that our options don’t match in well enough with other companies options to be used in the same room. However, if you’re just looking for something similar to use in a different room, there’s no problem at all.
Please remember, if you need any help we’re on the end of the phone. We hope to hear from you soon.
