Terms & Conditions

All products are supplied subject to the company’s terms and conditions of sale unless otherwise agreed in writing. Copies are available upon request.

  • It is the Buyer’s responsibility to ensure that the goods ordered are suitable for the Buyer’s purpose.
  • The goods are considered to be accepted and shall be dispatched at the buyer’s risk, even if the shipment is free. All possible risks are considered to be passed to the buyer at the time of acceptance as defined here above.
  • All circumstances such as force majeure, all kinds of accidents, general or partial strikes, lock-out, lack of transport, general or partial fire at the premises of the seller, etc, relieve the seller of his responsibilities.
  • All goods must be paid for in advance.
  • The buyer shall carry out a thorough inspection of the goods within one working day of delivery and shall notify the seller within this time of any defects which a reasonable examination would have revealed. The buyer shall not be entitled to reject the goods due to damage in whole or in part after such date.
  • The seller shall not be liable for damages assessed after acceptance of the goods, except when the buyer establishes proof that the damage is due to a defect in materials or workmanship. In any case, the liability of the seller is limited to a period of 1 year and, to the choice of the seller, to replacement of the goods or refunding of the concerned goods.
  • In no event shall the seller be liable for any damage due to improper use, bad installation, improper maintenance or negligence by the buyer or any third party.
  • The laws of England and Wales govern any agreement.

Returns Policy – Consumers:

Please note that we do not accept returns on items that have been made to order i.e. all antique wood effect, pre-made cornice corners and all shutter products. We also do not accept returns on some exterior products and some columns, or for Modern Skirting 4 or Patterned Skirting, that have to be shipped into the UK to your order  (these are noted at the bottom of their relevant range page). If your order is affected by this latter point we will contact you to confirm that you are happy to proceed prior to shipping the goods. For all other products use the following procedure:

  1. Notify us within 2 weeks of you receiving the goods. Please note that we don’t accept returns after this period. You can use our cancellation form to notify us (download below). If you choose to use this form please complete and email it to info@ukhomeinteriors.co.uk or post it to ukhomeinteriors Limited, 27 Woodbridge Road, Moseley, Birmingham, B13 8EH (do not return goods to this address – see point 2).
  2. You must then return the goods to the warehouse or warehouses they were despatched from. Please note that we have several of these, and that we do not accept returns to our sales office, so please contact us for details of where returns should be sent.
  3. The cost and responsibility for returning items is yours. Smaller items can often be returned most cost effectively from your local Post Office. Larger and heavier items may need another carrier, like TNT. Please be aware that their charges will be dependent upon the weight and volume of the package and larger, heavier packages can easily incur costs of £50 to £100, sometimes more.
  4. You must return the goods within 2 weeks of you notifying us that you wish to. Please note that we don’t accept returns after this time.
  5. The goods returned must be in a good condition so that we can re-sell them. We will not credit goods that are received back damaged as they have no value. We recommend that you insure the items against damage with the carrier you choose to return them by. We will sign for any returns as ‘damaged’ if there is damage to the packaging upon return, and advise you of any damages within 1 working day of receipt and provide photographs if required to help you with your claim with your carrier.
  6. We will then credit you.

  3. The cost and responsibility for returning items is yours.

  5. We will then credit you the full amount, less a 20% re-stocking charge and not including your initial delivery charge.
