LED Skirting Boards
LED skirting boards allow you to add low-level lighting around a room without leaving the LED strip on show. The lighting sits inside a channel within the skirting, with a diffuser clipped in to the channel diffusing the light and to prevent spotting with the LEDs. Perfect for modern interiors.
They work particularly well in hallways, living rooms, bedrooms, kitchens and modern commercial interiors. You can use them to create soft background lighting, provide a useful light at night or simply add something a little different to the room.
Please note that the actual LED lights are not supplied by us, these will need to be sourced from a LED lighting specialist and installed with an electrician.
Which way does the light shine?
We have different options depending on the effect you want to create:
- Horizontal profiles shine the light across the floor.
- Vertical profiles shine the light up the wall.
- Some profiles can be used both ways for either the floor or wall.
The profiles shining across the floor are great for subtle effect with low level lighting, the profiles shining up the wall work best when there is feature wall panelling or other features on the wall which you want to elevate and add an extra dimension with the light playing off the panelling.
Different Finish options
White primed:
This is a pre-primed surface and ready to paint with a colour of your choice, the diffuser supplied will be white.
Black pre-finished:
Pre-finished in a matt black spray paint for a smooth painted surface finish. We recommend our black adhesive for installation and splicing the end on end joints (cutting at a 45 degree angle) the core of the product is black all the way through and we recommend using our Black Adhesive for installation. The diffuser supplied is Black but you can purchase the white diffuser too if you find the black diffuser dims the light too much.

Do you supply the LED strip lights with the skirting?
LED strips are not included with the skirting board and must be purchased separately. This allows you to choose your preferred colour temperature, brightness level, and dimming functionality.
Can I paint the LED skirting?
Yes, the pre-primed white version is designed to be painted. You can use any standard interior paint to match your wall or trim colours.
Is LED skirting energy efficient?
Absolutely. When paired with modern LED strips, this skirting solution provides low-energy lighting that helps reduce electricity usage while enhancing your interior design.
Can the LED Diffuser be removed?
Yes, the LED diffuser can be removed and then clipped back into position once the skirting is painted and LED lights have been installed. Pro Tip: try not to get too much paint in the grooves of the channel as this makes it harder to click the diffuser into position.
