Choosing the right Panel Moulding
Depending on the style of the interior depends on the profile you choose. For simple interiors with a minimalistic feel, the simple square edged panel moulds work best to create shaker style panelling. For something with more decorative detail you could go for the French panelling look. take a look at our blog here.
The style could also depend on the existing skirting and coving in the room, if you need help choosing, please order samples and get in touch with us for advise on choosing the right profile.
You can create whatever shape you want, with endless design possibilities. Wall Panelling is the piece of the interior you can make that truly bespoke feeling.
Flexible Panel Mouldings
We offer a range of flexible panel mouldings for curved walls and feature areas – the ultimate panel moulding. Please see our Flexible Panel Mouldings range here.
Frequently Asked Questions
What are Panel Mouldings used for?
Panel mouldings are decorative trims which are used for creating frames on the wall for adding detail and texture to walls.
Can panel mouldings be painted?
Yes, our panel mouldings are designed to be painted and come with a pre-primed finish. We recommend painting with one coat of a good quality water-based paint. Some customers don`t paint them as the finish is so good without painting.
Are they suitable in bathrooms?
Yes our mouldings are the best material for bathrooms as they don`t take on moisture.
Do we supply preformed corners?
Yes, for some of our panel mouldings we have preformed corners which are either decorative details or preformed curves. These add extra detail to the panelling. See our preformed corners by clicking here.
Can they be used on the ceiling?
Yes, our panel mouldings work well on the ceiling and because they are so lightweight a quick grab adhesive is all that is required to install.
Do I need corner pieces?
No, for standard panelling a mitred joint works well for a simple finish, if you have a period style ornate property then the decorative corner pieces work really well in adding extra detail.
How To Build Your Feature
You can create shapes on your wall by cutting mitred joints on our railing profiles. In effect creating ‘frame shapes’. Mount these between dado and skirting or, for a full height feature, also above the dado. For additional decoration use pre-moulded corners for softer, or more ornate, shapes.
