How To Size Your Cornice
The sizes we show under each profile are height, which is how far the cornice extends down the wall from the ceiling, and projection, which is how far it extends across the ceiling from the wall.
An average sized cornice would range from about 7cm x 7cm to about 12cm x 12cm. We can send a couple of samples out if you are unsure.

Art Deco coving, cornice and other mouldings give a highly styled and impactful design theme to your room.
What Makes An Art Deco Moulding?
In terms of Art Deco coving & cornice, skirting boards or architrave, simple, clean lines are the primary design theme. These themes are very much ‘en vogue’ again today, with the Art Deco style appealing to the modern eye.
Where Did Art Deco Originate?
Art Deco as a style influenced the design of many things, from buildings to cars, from fashion to mouldings and architecture. It originated around the time of World War 1, and took it’s name from a major exhibition in Paris in 1925. It’s popularity lasted well into the 1930’s.
Strong geometric patterns, strongly influenced by Cubism, were the theme. They featured simple, bold lines. This influence is picked up here in our Art Deco Collection.
Don’t forget, if you would like to ‘try before you buy’, we have a free sample service (we ask customers to limit their request to a maximum of 3 samples). Just give us a call and ask.
We hope to hear from you soon.
