How To Choose The Right Ceiling Rose.
Sizing a ceiling rose traditionally worked in conjunction with the chandelier that hung from it. The eye sees both the rose and the chandelier as a single element. For style, if you are looking at traditional ceiling roses, you can either go plain – our best sellers just feature concentric circles – or introduce patterns to the room, like egg and dart or acanthus leaf. If you already have patterns on other features, like cornice, try not to clash with these and pick a style that is sympathetic. Small ceiling roses typically range between 15cm (6 inches) and 40cm (16 inches) these are perfect for smaller light fittings or rooms with low ceilings.
What is the purpose of a ceiling rose?
The purpose of a ceiling rose is to provide a decorative feature which can also hide wires and lighting cables. Decorative ceiling roses add extra grandeur and elevate lighting chandeliers to make them more attractive.
Do they have to be screwed into position?
No this is not essential and our adhesive is sufficient for installing our ceiling roses, if you wish to use screws or nails then this is fine. It won’t affect the product, it will just require more filling afterwards.
How big should a ceiling rose be?
We recommend that the ceiling rose should be the same size of slightly smaller than the light underneath, if you have a larger ceiling rose than the light, it could look out of proportion.
